T&T Guardian Angel Pocket Tokens

People have carried charms, tokens and amulets for many centuries. They go back further than we probably even know. But specifically coins that were believed to have special powers can be traced back to 9 A.D., during the ancient roman times. Over thousands of years different coins were believed to have different powers. So this idea of giving someone a pocket token, while very popular now, dates back thousands of years.

We have been doing pocket tokens for almost 20 years at T & T Designs (Treasures & Trinkets), starting with our Guardian Angel® pocket token, the original design. It is two sided and says, “Guardian Angel to watch over me” on one side and “Guardian Angel to watch over you” on the other side. Both sides have our logo Guardian Angel design on them. They originally came only in gold plating but over the years we have done them in silver plating, a brushed silver plating, sterling silver and pewter. Back then when we did this first Guardian Angel pocket token no one else was doing them. Pocket tokens were not a common sight in gift shops, so at the time ours was unique and no one had ever seen one. Well at least during our time. We have since added many other types of pocket tokens. There are good luck tokens, tokens that encourage you to dream, believe, and have faith and hope. There are tokens to say “I Love you”, for safe travels and good karma. Many of our tokens have a hole in them so that they can also be worn, attached to a key ring or some other item.

Carrying a token is about having faith & believing and having something tangible that you can hold in your hand to represent hope which is a powerful thing. The proof is that people still want to have that small token they can keep in their pocket and carry with them; even after thousands of years this tradition still stands strong. So share a pocket token with someone and see how powerful this small token is.
